Aptitude

Aptitude (Inherent ability)
  • Component of competency to do a certain kind of work at a certain level, which can also be considered ‘talent’.
    • 1) Aptitude may be physical or mental.
    • 2) It is a present condition that is indicative of an individual’s potentialities for future.
    • 3) Aptitude implies the prediction about the individual’s future performance.
  • Attitude – Has to do with character. Aptitude – With competence
  • Character is relatively permanent whereas aptitude can be changed and developed
  • Types
    • mental aptitude : AR Rehman for music, Vishawanath ananda - chess 
    • physical aptitude : usain bolt, budhia singh, michael phelps
